Webmaster’s community Anti Google sentiments growing.

Search Engines

Google once the internet’s raising star has been slowly losing it’s luck lustre with many webmasters world wide.

The once search king has recently updated it’s core algorithm and the way it crawl, index and rank, causing millions of good quality web sites to disappear from it’s search index.

The latest Google update, nicknamed “Big Daddy” by the webmaster community was said to be designed to better tackle the spam phenomenon (junk made for Adsense sites) that has sprang since the introduction of Google’s Adsense program. Adsense is a program that lets web publishers act as Google affiliates and display contextual Google ads over their own sites. The apparent lack of quality control over this program has fuelled a never seen before increase in spam across the web.

Google in it’s effort to tackle this problem (and not it’s source cause) has introduced many new filters into it’s recent search and rank algorithm, hearting millions of legitime websites in the process, as these sites no longer appear on the index while made for Adsense, “junk” sites appear to be unaffected.

There has been much debate over many webmaster related forums as to the possible causes of Google drastically dropping from it’s index large numbers of legitimate “clean” sites. Google while exercising it’s dominate search market position, doe’s not comment. This ongoing problem is now seriously affecting the bottom line of many legitimate sites, sites who relay on Google to supply them with daily related viewers, as they are longer be found when a user search Google for information related/relevant to their site.

A growing perception has started to emerge about Google abandoning it’s motto of “Organising the world’s information” and moving into “Controlling the world information according to Google’s financial and share holders benefits and targets”

Anti Google sentiment is now widely and openly expressed by many web publishers across the world including large numbers of experienced veterans who have been running their web business’s since the internet inception.

Boy this search engine has turned into a sour joke. A bully with a capital B holding 75% of the web for ransom. Their new motto, “Google are the only ones allowed to prosper over the web. Penalize and choke the hell off the rest, unless they pay up via Adwords off course. They are no longer spammers if they do, they are advertiser$”

Things you can do to help tip the scales in your own favour:

1) Link to other search engines at the very top of every page you have online
2) Let your clients, friends & family know about the new Google. Recommend OTHER search engines.
3) Warn your clients, friends & family about the SPYBAR.
4) Look into alternative advertising programs. STOP supporting this monster.
5) Look into alternative contextual networks and implement ASAP (ditch Adsense – you’ll only sleep better at nights).
6) Did I mention STOP supporting this bully? you are shooting yourself in the foot if you do?
