A while back, I came across a "duplicate entry" problem that resulted
from a missing row in my drupal table 'users'.

It turns out that the users table is not the only one that requires
information on "user 0" (aka "anonymous"). This can be caused by
a bug (fixed in CVS) in user deletion. When an admin deletes a user,
accidentally goes back to the confirmation screen and confirms
deletion again, uid 0 is gone. The same happens when two admins
try to delete a user at the same time.

This week I came across another problem in which anonymous
users get a "you are not authorized ..." message when trying to
view any sort of content.

A Belgian court has ruled that Google may not reproduce extracts from a variety of Belgian newspapers, imperiling one of the web search leader's most popular services if other courts follow suit.

The global launch of Vista last week could pose a new challenge for advertisers. The program has an inbuilt search facility that enables users to bypass popular search engines. Advertisers could find themselves being bypassed, but it’s expected that Microsoft would also have a plan to allow advertisers to access search terms in the program.

Which anti-spyware programs detect which cookies? The subject occasionally prompts discussion. .htaccess files provides us with ways to make configuration changes on a per-directory basis. This file works well in Apache Web Server and on Linux/Unix. Also, it works on Windows based system with Apache Web server.

Which would you prefer? Collecting 5¢ per click from Google AdSense? Or collecting $50 per sale from CBprosense? Sounds simple? Maybe it is simple. Nonetheless, there are details, and heaven and hell are in the details!
